Utou Jinja

The birthplace of Aomori City established in the year 807

A shrine located in the urban area where buildings stand about a 3-minute walk from the hotel. It originated when Yasukata, the Chūnagon (Middle Counselor) of Yoshitorimura, enshrined the deities. It was rebuilt in 807 by Sakanoue no Tamuramaro. Known for ensuring household safety, traffic safety, and business prosperity, this shrine has gathered people's faith since ancient times. Surrounded by features like the former large lake, marshes, and vegetation, the spring water 'Ryujin-sui' is also recognized as a power spot, revered by those involved in water-related professions and the sea.
